[Guide] Choosing which Units to invest in™
(Revised 4th January 2018)
This guide serves to explain how to determine which units you should invest in.
Most people would just refer to our Tier list and invest in the highest tier units.
That's not wrong but there are greater considerations to choosing which units to invest in and how much to invest in.
How to choose which Units to invest in?
The importance of the unit lies in their role.
The choice of which unit to invest in, changes according to the game content.
You want to be able to clear all PvE content comfortably (because PvE content gives the best keys atm) and then invest the rest into PvP.
For PvE, the current content provides for 3 roles, Tank, Range, Siege.
Hence, which is the role that you need to invest first.
It is definitely tank, because once the tank dies, it's game over.
Therefore, if your resources are limited, you want to save your resources for Tank > Range > Siege.
How do you determine the role of a unit?
Basically, all melee are tanks. Choose the best tanks from our tier list to invest in first.
How do you determine how much to invest in?
This is a tough decision, especially if your resources are limited.
You need to be able to anticipate the future.
But Raiders have very LOW HP that can die easily in PvP to enemy Chosen's actives etc.
And in future, newer range units that are introduced will be much better than Raiders.
If you are a P2P (Pay to Play) player, it probably would not matter. You will level every unit to max.
But if you are F2P, or a casual P2P (low spender), you will want to invest wisely.
You might want to set a max limit to the level of raiders, like keeping Raiders at level 10 max and not investing in them further.
Starting the Game
When you start the game, do not worry too much about which units to invest in.
Not too much resources are wasted.
At the start, it is advisable to invest in Deimos, the starting Chosen, to progress in the game.
Hence, do not be too bothered about not investing in lowly rated units.
As long as you do not invest in them beyond level 8, not too much resources are wasted.
Summary
I am not going to tell you specifically which unit / chosen to invest in.
For that, you can refer to our [Guide] Quantum Siege Chosen & Units Tier List™:
For PvE, you want to invest in this order: Tank > Range > Siege
You can also invest in the S-rated units/chosens in the tier list first, followed by lower units.
That will work also.
At the end of the day, if you are an F2P/low spender, do not try to level every unit evenly.
Instead, set level limits to specific units and do not level them beyond what you think is appropriate.
One tip about this game: You can level any unit instantly with sufficient resources.
Thanks for reading =)

How do you determine how much to invest in?
This is a tough decision, especially if your resources are limited.
You need to be able to anticipate the future.
For example, Raiders are rated A for PvE currently, same as Hunters & Alchemists.
But Raiders have very LOW HP that can die easily in PvP to enemy Chosen's actives etc.
And in future, newer range units that are introduced will be much better than Raiders.
So, do you want to level Raiders to level 15?
If you are a P2P (Pay to Play) player, it probably would not matter. You will level every unit to max.
But if you are F2P, or a casual P2P (low spender), you will want to invest wisely.
You might want to set a max limit to the level of raiders, like keeping Raiders at level 10 max and not investing in them further.
Starting the Game
When you start the game, do not worry too much about which units to invest in.
It is fine to invest in ANY unit up to level 8.

Hence, another method is to accumulate resources and level units ONLY when you need them.
